I found the best Asian foods supermarket at the Chinatown Center, located at North Lamar and Kramer. Despite the name, MT Supermarket is full of great deals on produce, canned goods, various rice products, candy, and kitchenware and utensils. For vegetarians and vegans, this place is heaven. They have many different types of tofu--I recommend the fried tofu balls--as well as hard to find sauces, like vegetarian oyster sauce. Overall, it seemed like the prices were better than what you'd find at other supermarkets. My only complaint is the fishy smell that permeated the building, but i eventually got used to it.
I didn't explore any of the other stores in the center, because I had things that needed refrigeration. I noticed a Vietnamese Noodle place, a jewelry store, and a sandwich shop while driving through the parking lot. Don't come to the Chinatown Center expecting it to be like Chinatown in San Francisco. This is more like a strip mall with Chinese architecture. But it's still worth visiting.
